Not at £36,49 per 4 litres. I use (& have used for 12 years) Comma 2 stroke mineral at around £22 per 5 litres (less if you shop around) http://www.wilcodirect.co.uk/index.p...oducts_id=1325
Plenty good enough for standard Villiers trials & road bike engines if used at around 25:1

Thats a ridiculous price! Since this oil is designed for old engines, I wouldn't mind betting that the formulation is hardly any different to the Comma stuff.
I bought 6 litres of Shell Racing Castor oil for the same price as the Silkolene!
Like most products its worth shopping around for oil. The smaller the quantity (1 litre bottles) the more you pay, & its always dearer at bike dealers & filling stations. I get mine from Ernest Doe the East Anglian based agricultural dealer http://www.ernestdoe.com/storelocator.html their prices for 5 litres is alway competative, farmers are tight & dont like paying over the odds. If you use lots of the stuff a 25 litre drum is the cheapest way to buy. One things certain the price won't go down, so its better than leaving the money in a bank of building society.
