    Interesting BSA / Greeves being scrutineered at Haynes last night prior to the start of the MCC Exeter long distance trial, scrutineering courtesy of Somerton Classic MCC members (pics Stuart Wigmore) Not sure if it a 500 or 650 engine

    Looks like too much engine for that spindly little frame; and with those brakes? 10/10 for effort though!

      That reminds me of back in the 70s when Derek Whalley used to race a 250 Montesa with a 650 BSA A65 engine. Watching it tie itself in knots coming out of corners was great fun. The bike was affectionately known as the Instant Whip.

        I agree that the brakes would seam to be nearly useless with that sort of weight
