Whilst in town I popped in and talked to my local MOT tester and he said if the bike is registered 1965 then it does not need an MOT. The issue he said occurs when people have old bikes with a recent registration. So there we are clear as mud

After 35 years of living next to this road it has only recently been signposted as "unmetalled". There is a house at the far end which is accessible by the nice tarmac part of the road, I believe they are arranging concerts so perhaps to stop an unfortunate driver following the satnav the sign was put up.
I had great ride, a bit slippery in places but nice to be able to use the Grumph. It is noticeably heavier than the 250's but has some real grunt.
