  • DOO94B ISDT challenger

It appears that Mary Drivers ISDT MX1 challenger that she rode in 1964 has survived and a photo was recently posted on a Facebook page by the current owners.

Put up by an elderly lady, in Kent it was her step fathers bike, his name was Gough. She has not decided whether to sell it, just testing the water I suspect to get a value. Looks like its been in store for a lot of years, number is not on DVLA, but being Essex mark full licencing records are available, the lady thinks she has the old buff logbook which would make things easier and add some provenance to the bike.

A decision has been made and the bike will be going to Sammy Miller's Museum for restoration and display. Sam is rumoured to still have a pocket full of sleeve bolts.

If it ends up like some of the other Greeves in Miller's museum it will be incorrectly restored and inaccurately described...

Definitely gone to Sammy's museum, there is a bit about it in July OBM. Hopefully they will make a good job of it and most importantly it will be on display for all to see. Rather than stashed away in a private 'investment' collection.
