  • 1958 TA20 Scottish front brake torque arm

    Hi all,
is there a particular washer or distance piece that goes within the C end of the torque arm where the suspension pivot bolt goes through please?
I only have the bolt which doesn't seem mechanically correct as the torque arm could clatter up and down either side of the bolt
    Thank you

You just need to make up a spacer which slips over the bolt, so 3/8" I.D. x 5/8" O.D. You will have to work the length out yourself, but will be pretty obvious once you offer it all up. The cutout in your brakeplate torque arm will almost certainly be worn oversize and out of shape by now. If so you need to weld and re-shape it, like this one. Click image for larger version
