    Hi John,

Having one of my infrequent looks at the GRA forum and noticed your question was unanswered.

The trials models such as the TCS, TDS, and TES models all have the top yolk with the V facing forward.
The straight top yolk was used on the Silverstone and road going bikes.
The scrambles bikes used the top yolk with the V backwards facing the rider.

If you have a trials bike with a straight yolk this means the bike is likely a converted road bike (This can be confirmed from the frame number) or could have replacement road bike forks fitted.
It is not just a matter of fitting a different top yoke as the lower fork yoke is welded to the fork legs in a position to match the top yoke so the steering head bearing align.

    Hopefully this answers your question,

    Regards

    Peter

It certainly was a vee-shaped top yoke from the Scottish TCS onwards but I have a feeling the TA had a straight yoke?
