Hi and welcome back everyone. The rings arrived from the states, after overseas suppliers responded with no 60 thou hepolite piston rings. Thanks for contact details.
The problem is, the new ring have a slight bevel. The engine reconditioner who rebored my barrel, and ordered the rings, isnt sure if the bevel should go up or down, when fitted to the piston.
He guesses the rings should be fitted, bevel up. He said quite oftern 4 stroke 2 ring was fitted with the bevel down. but wasnt sure about the 2 stroke.
