  • MCS 'ringer' for sale in USA

A 24MCS is been seen on Facebook in the USA with a re stamped number 24MCS126. Engine number 306D 1682 appears to be correct type (34A) but may be from another make of bike, 306D does not appear on Villiers list. Not that its likely to be bought here in the UK, but buyers beware

Not an MDS, more like a 1962-issue UK production standard spec 24MCS to my eye ............ except for 19" front wheel!

Plated Engine No. can read as 305D, which is listed as correct for a 24MCS in the Villiers Singles & Twins book ...............

I think its 306D which would follow on from 305. Not all Villiers numbers are listed. Neither is it shown in Villiers - Everbodies Engine by Rob Carrick. I have come across a lot more than what Rob had. I spoke to him on several occasions and exchanged new numbers that had surfaced. Robs book has far more than in VS&T book
