24MDS engine type

Hi chaps,
Looking for some clarification on 24MDS engine types.
Did some have the 34a motor and some the 36a motor.
Mine has a 34a and not sure this is correct.

Early ones had the 34A unit, Ken, later ones the 36A, both with alloy barrels. What year is yours?

If you contact Peter Smith you can get a dating cert for the bike which will give you the original number

I have the dating info which I got from Peter.
My MDS is a 1962 model John so engine is correct with 34a.
Just a bit of an facebook chat so just wanted to be sure.
