Handlebar clamps

At the Telford Show jumble I bought a set of alloy handlebar clamps with the aim of having them polished and replacing the ones on my '62 model Scottish. When I came to fit them I found that they are for a pair of 1" diameter handlebars and not the 7/8" ones on my Scottish. Are these for the scrambles models of the same period?

Challenger had 1" diameter bars, so probably intended for that.

Handlebar clamps
2 weeks ago I bought a set of 4 handlebar sleeve shims for 7/8 inch bars for my Ranger. The cost was £5.30 inc p&p from 'onestopbikebits' This solved the problem and the bars are now held tight.
