25D basket case

This has been advertised on facebook as follows;
Greeves 25d, 250 twin, 2t engine, bike been sat in a dry garage for years and hopefully someone will be able to make use of this, most of the parts look like they are there sorry I only have the old buff log book, looking for offers around £2000 many thanks.
Although the reg number on the plate is 578BBH there is another 1957 Greeves 250cc 575BBH

A bit coincidental that two bikes have been registered with almost adjacent numbers. I suggest that the DVLA may have copied the number wrongly when transferring to V5 In 1957 I stand to be corrected but surely in 1957 only the 25D and 25R were 250cc, all other bikes were 197cc. Strange that the same (Bucks) dealer would have sold two 25D's probably on the same day. I am waiting for sight of the RF60 log book to find frame number. It could be the same bike.
