Does anyone know of any engineer or workshop services that can carry out greeves specific work.My project has ground to a halt again as I don't know of anyone who can fit the pins for the front fork rubber bushes. Nobody I've tried is willing to take it on. It seems that whilst there is good support for spares and drawings etc there isn't anything out there when you want to get something done that you're not up to yourself.

Here's a direct link to the 'services' page on Dave's excellent website giving a good overview of what he can do.

A safer (or more knowledgeable) pair of hands would be hard to find.

        Hope this helps,

        Brian.

Mick it would have helped if you had put in your location, for all we know you may be outside of the UK!

            Ok,

Thanks everybody, it sounds as if Dave Higgins is the man to try, I have some vapour blasting work needed on some ancient brass engineering models so hopefully I can kill two birds with one stone. I'm in darkest North Oxfordshire and there aren't many older bike specialists in this part of the world let alone anyone who would tackle anything away from the mainstream stuff. Travelling and paying isn't the problem, it's knowing whoever you entrust the job to can complete the work properly.
Whilst I'm on has anyone ever met the problem with the upper fork damper bolt rusting into the sleeve in the damper mounting, It's been regularly soaked in releasing fluid for over a year and still won't shift, drifting doesn't work and I'm reluctant to try drilling unless essential. The bolt turns freely so it seems the sleeve has sheared from inside the rubber bush

            Regards
