I have heard from Shaun McMahon in Cornwall, he has given me details of 24RAS182 that he once owned and taxed for the road in Feb 1971 with reg number NJY189J. If anyone has the bike Shaun still has an old V5 registration document which he will pass onto them. The reg No is still on the DVLA but 'Untaxed for the Road'
