  • Anyone know the recco

Anyone know the recommended end float for a Silverstone crankshaft? Ian B's swallowed something at Darley Moor & its a bit poorly, but Pembrey is not too far away. Peter.

    Peter,
When installed in the case there is no endfloat on the crank. The crank is pulled up against the ball bearing on the drive side and centralised by shims between the bearing and the crank. If you mean endfloat on the bigend there is no recommended figure. I've seen between .010" and .050" although I would prefer around .010"
