Well, I finally was able to find a Griffon clutch to fit to my Challenger. I put it on the bike (hopefully I did it right!), everything seemed to go smoothly. I took it out onto the road and took it up and down the street and WOW, what a difference! I only rode it long enough for the neighbors to be able to look outside to see what all the noise is, then shut it down and rolled it in the garage.
That night, I also got a message back from a US supplier that I had been bugging for months and they finally got some Amal premiers in stock, so I sprung for one of those also. Until the new carb, I had put a 32mm concentric on it but its a four stroke sprayer. So now, with the clutch, new carb, new wheel bearings, etc etc...I might actually get to ride it as intended. First race for me will be on the 28th of September as long as the shakedowns go well.
