Hello from Macclesfield
Hello to everyone.
After many years of fancying a Greeves I have finally bought a Pathfinder project.
My interest in motorcycles started from age 10 years (1968) with a Ducati moped, followed by an Ambassador 200, Ariel NH 350, Excelsior Talisman twin 250, BSA B31 350, Royal Enfield 350, Matchless 350, Triumph 3TA 350, James Superlux autocycle and a Yamaha FS1E. All except the Fizzy were bought from a retired motorcycle dealer and used on farm tracks and fields.
After decades without motorcycles, my brother invited me to the celebration of 50 years of the Triumph Bonneville at Gaydon. This re-ignited my interest in bikes and was quickly followed by riding lessons and passing my bike test via the Direct Access Scheme.
In my youth the Greeves competition machines were hugely desirable, but completely out of reach.
I am most grateful to the GRA members who have already offered useful help and advice.
