Does anyone know the thread size of the gearbox sprocket retaining nut on a 5 speed Albion cam-barrel box? I suppose it may be the same size as other Greeves gearboxes, but I have no real idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't already found out the thread is 26TPI UNF form.

Thanks Druid. Interestingly mine is 16 TPI, but I'm finding it difficult to measure the diameter because it is a five spline sprocket.

        Kevin,
my source let me down, it is 16 TPI, he thinks the diameter is 1.25" possibly 1.1875". Apologies, you can't get the staff nowadays.

          Hi Druid
Is this the one with built in felt oil seal, I did have one somewhere.

Thanks for the update Druid, that makes sense.
Anglian Man, thanks for the input. What I'm trying to get hold of is part number G1134/30, the sprocket locking nut. It's about 1/4 inch thick, but doesn't have a built in seal. I've been unable to locate one so am trying to get its dimensions so that I can make one.
