Reading Mike Worthington-Williams Feedback column in OBM this month it appears that the DVLA are tightening up the rules on recovery of original registration numbers. In future they will not accept documents (old tax discs, MoT certificates, first registration records etc) that do not have the frame/chassis number (VIN) stated on them. Further more it is rumored that they intend to phase out club involvement in dating vehicles or number recovery & instead issue contracts to individual firms to inspect vehicles.
