  • Challenger Condenser

    Hi all
Changing out the points and condenser on my MX4. Condenser is a push fit into housing. Trouble is it doesnt want to go with what I would call reasonable force applied. Has anyone got any advice on getting the new one in. Had to use locking pliers to yank the old one out! Should I put some heat on the housing?
Condenser is same diameter as the old one and is from Villiers spares. Old one is a little squished on that end. All help appreciated.
    Cheers Dug

You need to remove the complete stator and drift out from rear you will need to rest timing afterwards
they are very tight fitted but that’s all that holds them in
