Question about a piston for Greeves Griffon

Hello,

Does anybody know the piston clearance in milimeters of an all original piston (Hepolite) for Greeves Griffon 380?

Piston Clearances

Hi Pete, the clearances on the Piston will vary, I don't know about a Griffon but on my 250, 66mm bore it tapers from the crown circa 0.25mm down to the skirt at 0.1mm. So the piston is undersize of the nominal bore to give the necessary clearance required. Simon Bateman of Nametab has had a batch manufactured and is perhaps better placed to advise than myself. I believe I have an original 380 Piston at home so could measure for you if that would help.
