  • Exhaust gasket

I am not sure if this has been covered before but can someone tell me if there is a suitable substitute for the copper/asbestos? exhaust pipe gasket between cylinder and pipe used on the Challenger/Silverstone motors?
If there is a car or another bike part that works could you tell me the model so I can try and track it down this side of the Atlantic or if there is a supplier of this part in the UK I can order from, that would be great.
    Thank you,
    Stan

    Exhaust gasket

I have never seen or used a gasket between the barrels and pipes on either 250 or 360 challengers.
    Never had problems.

I bought a supply some years ago on e-bay. I can't remember which Jap bike they were made for but they were 38mm internal diameter, a tight fit.

1.5 inches i.d fit better if you can get them.

        exhaust rings

        Hi Stan,

Copper exhaust rings are available to fit most engines from Terry Sewell.

Check his website;- www.tdsclassicmotorcycles.com. He is well known in the UK and is a member of the GRA.

        Regards,
        Mike.
