  • Challenger big end rebuild-any ideas of cost?

    Hi all
Can anyone out there give me a ballpark figure of how much it will cost me to get a new big end fitted to my MX 3 crank. The main bearing journals appear to be fine but the big end is shot,it is eight years since last rebuild so it is safe to say the cost will have increased somewhat!!
    Cheers Allan

Hi wilks, can`t tell you specifically, but most big end kits are around the £100 mark, with another £40.00 to fit, rough guide, i expect one of the lads will give you an exact price. dave.

Speak to Simon Bateman ( Nametab Eng.), he has the rods in stock and can give you all the prices.

To update and give a December 2018 price. Simon charged me £150 for doing the small and big end on my Challenger 250 crank. That price included a new con rod.
