  • Alloy Fuel Tanks

Just recieved my fuel tank back from Specialistdents, (www.specialistdents.co.uk) also known as MPDR. Very pleased with the results, see before and after pic's, and would reccomend them.

          alloy tank

There were 5 dents in the tank and the price was £150+ vat and postage.
They are located in Pickering, North Yorkshire.
Turn around time of approx' 10 days.

          Mike.

              alloy tank

Average cost per dent ,£30. To remove one dent in a car panel,£75!!!
              Very cost effective I think.

Knowing how rare Pathfinder tanks are, that is certainly value for money imo.

                  alloy fuel tank

In my first post on this subject I mentioned that they were also known as MPDR. It is the same company, but using a different web site which is www.motorcycledentremoval.co.uk. Give them a look.
Now, where did I put the Brasso?!!!

                      Hi Scott,
In answere to your question, no, but I wish I did as it was an ex works bike.

                        Finished Tank

At last!, after 3 attempts. Could not get all the scratches out so had to accept what is seen. Scratches possibly caused when paint was removed from the tank by previous owner, made the job a lot harder.

And before anyone ask's the badges are by Bearingman. Big thanks Kenny.

Now, on with rest of the jobs

                        Mike.

                              Tank Polishing

                              Hi Rob,

I nearly gave up, but after talking to a friend of my son, he said if he polished it he could not gaurantee a perfect finish due to alloy scratching so easily, and he does alloy polishing as a buisiness (LMR-Liquid Metal Refinement). Might be of some help with your Bentley block.

                              Mike.
