  • Links for Classic Trials in the UK.

    Hello Brian,

    thanks for your welcome greetings.
    I`m happy that I found this Greeves Forum.
    In Austria there are only a few Greeves bikes. So it is not easy to get more informations about them!
    But there are a lot of parts for the engine to get!
    Next year I would like to come to Britain to participate in a Classic Twinshock Trial. Do you know any good links or mail adress for that reason?
    Best Regards
    Robert

    Links for Classic and Pre65 Trials in the UK.

    Hi Robert,

    Glad you like the forum!

    As far as classic trials in the UK goes, here are a few links you might like to have a look at to give you an idea of what the scene is like over here.

    The first two links are for the two main organising bodies for the sport here in the uk, and their websites contain details of events and lots of more general information;

    Next are some links to three of the more well known clubs that organise classic trials, covering the North, Midlands and Southern areas of the uk-there are many others as well!;

    Earl Shilton Trials Club carries out monthly trials and training days for riders of all age and experience. We also run membership for practice.

    Finally, here is a great site that covers everything to do with trials, including modern/classic/international/World Championships, etc;

    Trials Central The Home of observed motorcycle Trials

    Hope this helps!

    Brian.

      User Friendly Classic Trials

      Somerton Classic Motor Cycle Club based in Somerset run Classic Trials mainly in the Mendips in Somerset.
      Our policy is to run 3 routes suitable for riders of all capabilities.
      The C route is aimed at beginers and returners to the sport.
      The B Route is aimed at the Clubman rider.
      The A route is designed to test the experts of yesteryear.

      We have classes for Rigid, Pre 65 pre unit, pre 68 Unit, pre 68 two stroke(Greeeves riders take note)and Twinshock, we will not turn away over 60's on mono's.

      Also available for 2013 is our introduction to Classic Trials Series, featuring C route only with advise and help on hand which is proving popular.
      Dates and information available on the club website.
