  • HRR 20D are you out there

GRA member Paul Mckowen contacted me recently to see if his old 25DC No HRR 20D was on my register, he thought it may have been an East Coaster. but apparently its not, but a 32DC. It is shown as being on SORN by the DVLA web site

The vehicle details for HRR 20D are:
    Date of First Registration 10 05 1966
    Year of Manufacture 1966
    Cylinder Capacity (cc) 250cc
    CO₂ Emissions Not Available
    Fuel Type PETROL
    Export Marker N
    Vehicle Status SORN in place
    Vehicle Colour BLUE
    Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

    HRR is a Nottingham mark
Paul had the bike back in 1975 as a basket case from a guy in Newark, it had a 4T engine (hence Paul thinking it was an East Coaster). He sold it on in 1978 to someone in Stamford who was going to restore it. If anyone knows where it is please give me a PM & I will pass details onto Paul.

    Update
I have had the bike checked on Carweb & the frame number is 61/3581 & the engine No. 701E/760 (a 4T from a RE Turbo Twin) Last keeper change was 11/10/2004 & the previous one 06/10/2001
Looks like it was re registered in 1966 and at some time fitted with the 4T (250cc) engine & was originally a 1961 32DC according to the frame number.
