I put an article by Brian Stonebridge about Scrambling from 1958 on my Web site. http://www.spitfire-racing.com/greeves/BSstory.pdf
From a book titled Motor-Cycle Sport.

Thanks dean, a great read with superb pics, nice to see the large crowds that used to attend scramble events like this & the heavy british fourstrokes being raced during that golden era ( so they say ).........

      Nice one Dean......thanks for posting

"The main thing is to enjoy yourself and try to ride like a gentleman"...........

Great words from one of the best .....and why i race Scrambles and not modern where the spirit of BS lives on ..........

He was clearly a master at the top of his game when he wrote this article .....and in reading this one twice there is a lot of sound advice and tips that are still relevant today as it was when this article was written................I am only glad that we don't have too many dead engine starts these days - but next time we do I will be off like a fire cracker
      Cheers Kim
