Following pic of John Martin on a 1966 registered Greeves HUD942D (an Oxfordshire reg.May 1966), he says
"This was my second trials Greeves. This one had banana front forks but what I didn't know at the time was that they were not the genuine article. It rode ok though".
Sadly the bike is not showing on DVLA so unable to check on frame number so as to positively identify it but looks a Wessex. Anyone recognise the bike?

I asked him if they were modified rubber forks, but he has yet to answer.

The forks look like the correct bananas to me Brian, so a standard 24TJ 'Wessex'
Pic looks like it may have been taken by Len Thorpe a photographer who used to attend South Midland Centre events (which includes Oxfordshire) with his wife & take a photo of every rider. You just gave your riding number, name & addres to his wife together with something like 5 shillings your print came through the post a week or so late. If I recall he got into trouble with the law at one time for taking another sort of photos
He did take pin sharp black & white pics though.
