  • Gearbox nuts?

My Silverstone has the 5 speed box, the 4 main bolts (studs) that join it to the crankcase has alloy nuts on them (not sure of size but a 21mm spanner fits), is this correct? and if so does anyone know where I can get replacements? Thanks.

    Nuts

I think you will find Simon Bateman at Nametab has them as he purchased a box of them from John Harding at the agm this year might be worth a call

If the nuts are the originals they should take a 1/2in BSF spanner. The threads themselves are 5/16th BSF. There are shims between the gearbox and the crankcases to tension the primary chain and then there are washers and the aluminium nuts between the gearbox and the engine plates, as you say. If you can't get any from Simon Bateman let me know, I might have some spares. Good luck!
