Default Nuts & bolts !

Hi, I'm rebuilding a DC25 and have just started putting it all back together, but some of the nuts and bolts need replacing, can anyone help with the standard ? Witworth, AF etc. Also does anyone know of a supplier, maybe box different sizes. Thanks for the help. John

Hi john, whitworth, bsf, unc & unf also ba threads are all common on greeves motorcycles, af ( across flats ) is the bolt head size, not a thread pitch.
All these are available from nut & bolt specialists, plenty of them on line, but the choices are not great, ie galvanised, tensile etc, because demand is low for these nuts & bolts from yesteryear. good luck.

This company Namrick http://www.namrick.co.uk/ do a wide range of different sizes and types including stainless. Originals would have been high tensile steel cadmium plated (now replaced with zinc).
Namrick are well known in the classic car world. Also more firms listed on this web site http://oldcarservices.co.uk/fasteners/
