I know some one out there will know what the threads on cylinder head studs should be?

I think they are cycle at the top whit at bottom will double check as just taken some out.

Cheers that figures they would be "different" it looks like unf 5/16 but that is 24 tpi and the studs are 25!!!!I will shelve my idea as life is too short for this.

Are you sure the thread is not 26 tpi which would be British Standard Cycle Thread http://www.motalia.com/Html/Charts/cycle_chart.html
25 tpi is a non standard pitch
