                Back to the reuiuld

Looks like someone could not be bothered to keep the kick start tight.
New shaft and kick start needed.
Thank goodness they had a spanner to keep the gear lever tight

This looks untouched but then it has been lying in a damp shed for a long time.

I can't believe that these are all the parts that are needed to build what must be the best Scrambler engine of the 70's
The BSA B50mx that I am building beside it is like a bloody Swish watch in comparison.

Nice one Craig thanks for taking time to post . Looks an interesting and challenging project ..... But as usual looks like u have a plan
Your comparison of BSA vs Greeves is spot on too!
                        Cheers Kim

This is why you should check check and re-check for broken bits before building a set of casings.
I just happen to see this little piece of broken ring poking out of the oil way in the side bearing shell before I was going to put the cases together
I am not usually that lucky.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a gasket material for the crank cases??

My personal preference is Three Bond, usually grey but black is available for the black chaincase! Dogsbody
