  • footrests and kick start!

    Hi all,
I'm looking for some advice, firstly I have the mk1 griffon 380 where the footrests are bolted on the side of the frame, not on a arm coming up like the later QUB.

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get the more grip on the footrests?
I'm toying with the idea of welding barbs on the side but this may cause a clearance issue when folded up with the kickstart.

this brings me on to question number 2, does the the royal Enfield bullet kick start got the griffon because the mx folding kick start might solve this issue.

    Thanks David

    Kick start

I bought 2 kick start levers which were made in Spain for my 360 challenger and both bent fairly easily. They cost about £90 each. I have just bought one from Hitchcocks. The splines are the same and it is very robust and misses the footrest when it is folded up. A long time ago I bought a kick start from Terry Silvester for my 250 challenger and he took it off a new Griffon and that fitted both my challengers so the Enfield one should fit.
