I see in Classic Bike that the BSA name has been bought by Mahindra in India. Hopefully something on the lines of Royal Enfield will follow as they see a "lack of choice in the 500 to 750cc area. We look to the Gold Star as the epitome of BSA's classic aura." Perhaps he might fancy the Greeves name as the business was for sale a while ago? Any suggestions for a new Greeves? Mahindra make nice 250 Moto3 bike so the Silverstone name could make a comeback

A lot of old British names have been sold off & are used mainly on Chinese 'badge engineered' 125s. Some are retro fitted with British made parts, AJS are currently selling a 125 'cafe racer'. One manufacturer is making a flat tank look alike with a 125cc ohc engine. Even Francis Barnett has been resurrected.
Maybe Richard Deal has missed the boat & should be badge engineering rather than doing restoration work.
As for BSA, this is the BSA Regal company who have been around for some years, they have headquarters in Southampton in the docks area. http://www.bsa-regal.co.uk/?category...y&page=history
