  • Brake shoes

Hi all, is there anywhere I can buy a new pair of brake shoes off the shelf ?
They are quite large brakes with conical alloy hubs. Not sure what size. I suppose I need to drop them out and measure up. They are off my Greeves Anglian. Ken

Ken, if you are going to the AGM, then you might be able to source some from villiers services, they also do a religning service by post.

                    Brake shoes

Waste of time trying to contact Terry Sewell.
A guy on facebook Dave Smith from New Zealand ordered and paid for a piston for his 380 Griffin early last year, and has heard nothing further and has been unable to contact Terry, even through his daughter.
Better to send your old brake shoes to Villiers Services and get them relined.

Try Villiers Services at the AGM, My Anglian with the Alloy drums had been skimmed on the rear , so give them the drum size , and the brake shoes without the linings attached and they will supply you with the ones to suit approximately i had to file and sandpaper them a bit to get the good fit.

they will return yours by post if they are not standard, if you are not sure take the wheel with brake complete with you .
