Two basic measurements. Front down beam - bottom fixing hole to swinging arm, and top fixing hole to swinging arm. All centre to centre.

Accommodating the front down beam is standard stuff. Cutting the gearbox mounts out and fabricating suitable parts to take the Triumph gearbox...

On such a late bike the Made in England stamp is the true marker of an export machine.

A bit of an odd number. The home market records are 24TJSB. Loads of gaps in the sequence. Numbers didn't go past 300.

Perhaps someone else can offer an explanation.

Sorting out some photos and came across these. This ME was built by Fred Giles. Fred came from Reading, but moved to Cornwall. He was a very talented engineer and built frames under the Appollo name...

Fitting a 500 Triumph in your MX 6 chassis should be relatively easy. A pattern for the front plate should be easily found. The underside and rear mounts will require some fabrication...

I agree, RAL 5001 is a very good match for Moorland Blue. For as long as I have been interested in Greeves the factory lore of this colour has never failed to generate healthy debate.
