  • Bristol Classic Bike Show 2018

Just a reminder that the Bristol Show is on this weekend (3rd-4th Feb) at the Royal Bath and West Showground to the south of Shepton Mallet, Somerset. The Showground postcode is BA4 6QN. Gates open at 10.00am.

Organisers Les and Carol have laid on a good-sized and well-placed GRA stand.

It is very much worth bearing in mind that the road to the showground becomes very congested as people queue to get in - in the past the wait has been an hour or more.

This mainly affects cars arriving from the north - from Shepton Mallet town that is. The answer is to plan your journey to arrive from the south, even if it means a bit of a diversion. You need to approach the showground travelling north on the A371. Believe me, it's worth it, particularly on the Saturday!

By the way, if anyone wants one, I'll have a couple of copies of my book for sale. Brand new: signed if required.

The 'Roving Regalia' will also be there so if you need tank badges, various other stickers or one of our very reasonaby priced and good quality tee shirts, then make sure you are there!

Well done chaps. Don't forget to sell some tee shirts! If Jacky is running the shop, we should do OK!

Colin - please could you let me know of any tee shirt sales by Monday please so that, if necessary, we can top up in time for Telford. My tee shirt man is primed ready!

Well done Les and co, have a great weekend!

        Thanks, Rob

            What a cracker.....!

.....looks fantastic mate......and great to see such an original bike so nicely and in my opinion appropriately 'recommissioned', with all the character and patina in place.....just all clean and tidy now, and ready to ride and enjoy again.

Congratulations Tony, hope you have a lot of fun with it and well done!

            Brian.

I drove back from Shepton Mallet on Monday, and stopped off to do a bike inspection en route, so I've only just seen this message - Tuesday pm.

I don't think any teeshirts were sold. Too ruddy cold? But then I wasn't involved so I could be wrong. I've yet to reconcile the cash with the records, and won't get round to that for a day or so - got to take Tony's Ranger bits for powder coating tomorrow.

But no panic on the teeshirt front, we've got loads!

That 324 East Coaster of Tony's is really nice, a true "survivor" with all its original bits intact - and a Randy Wilson sticker on the rear light housing.

Be a real shame to restore it - and Tony agrees. All it needs is an oily rag round it.
