  • Introduction

Hi everybody, my name is Steve and I'm a new member. I've been riding for 50+ years and it used to be mainly off road but various parts of my anatomy have worn out so I'm turning more towards the roads and/or supporting our sport.

i've been a Marshall for the Manx GP/Classic TT for a good few years now also for our annual pilgrimage.

This winter I intend building a Grumph, a special I have promised to build for a while now. Any or all help will be gratefully accepted from the community.

    Cheers Steve.

Welcome Steve, this is certainly the place for advice - without the chaps on the forum, my griffon restoration would almost certainly have fallen flat. keep us informed on how you get on.

              Steve,

Welcome to the GRA and also the Forum! I have now upgraded you to 'GRA Member' so you should see a bit more now.

I am sure you will have no problems creating a Grumph with Phil around! There should be plenty of info, hints and tips around and also the pitfalls to avoid.

              Good luck with your project!

Welcome Steve, can't have too many grumph's, this is my one that Phil helped me with (he did the technical bits, I did the collecting)

Just a small point after being reminded by that pic. Don't go riding through bushes with a drooping throttle cable! One of my fellow TRF members (many years ago) learnt the lesson the hard way! Got away with a sprained ankle, but otherwise OK.

Thanks for the reminder Brian, I have a different throttle to put on, just keep forgetting to do it
It will be done before riding any tight little overgrown tracks.
