    Hi,
Just joined the group mainly for the help out there in solving those niggling
problems that we all seem to get from time to time.

The one I'm having at the moment is what position are the cut outs in the fork rubber bushes when pressing new ones home.
Should have made a note before removing the old ones I know. Suggestions please.

My bike is a 324cc 32DC. with the S25/3 carb.
There's definitely a knack in starting when the bikes warm. Also the tick over isn't consistent.
Would an Amal alternative be a good move.?
    Many thanks,
    Andy.

    Hi Andy
Welcome aboard. There is a thread on fork bushes & fitting http://www.greeves-riders.org.uk/for...ht=Fork+bushes
but this is in the GRA members area so you need to be a member to see that.
If you are already a member you need to PM 'Rob' to get up graded then you can view. If not you need to join.
Re your starting problem on your 32DC. the Villiers S25/3 carb is the correct carb for your bike so it should start & run OK with it, an Amal carb (in my opinion) will not help. Looks like you need to systematically check that the carb settings are correct & that all jets including the pilot jet are clear & not blocked.
The S25/3 carb does not have a throttle stop (tickover) screw, so setting tickover on the throttle cable is not very reliable.
You say starting is difficult when warm, (so presumably OK when cold) this could be ignition coils or condenser problem (40 year old components can get tired) Also the flywheel could do with re magnetising. So quite a lot of things really, the joys of running an old two stroke.

      Fork query.

      Thanks for the advise John.
I do intend to join the club and I'll take it from there.
      Best wishes, Andy.
