  • headlamp switch 25DC

I am at a fairly advanced stage of rebuilding a Greeves 25DC. A friend who has some experience in matters electrical has assembled a replacement wiring harness for the bike. As a reference, he has used a combination of the old loom and the circuit diagram as supplied in the Greeves technical notes. This particular bike used the Miller switch which was split when I bought the bike.

A replacement (replica) switch was sourced from Villiers Services, however, it was not supplied with any wiring diagram. Also, the replica Miller switch does not have numbered terminals. I would be very grateful if any one can help or put me in touch with somebody that has had previous experience with this replacement switch.
    Switch Details: Manufacturer - Wassell
    Part Number - WW11060

    Miller switch

The switch you have from Villiers Services IS NOT suitable for the Greeves application, it is configured for dynamo applications such as Vincent, Velocette, Rudge, & Royal Enfield. VILLIERS SERVICES SHOULD NOT BE SELLING THESE SWITCHES FOR GREEVES.
Sorry to shout but this subject has been discussed before & I would have thought Villiers Services would have stopped selling the wrong switch by now.
You may find this thread helpful http://www.greeves-riders.org.uk/for...=Miller+switch
But basically there is no new repro Miller switch that will do the job. The only alternative is a second hand original switch (rare as hens teeth) or a Lucas switch which will require a modified mounting.
