GRA Trial at Basford on 25th September 2005
Words by Peter Smith

This dual-routed trial took place in good weather to begin with, but a heavy shower caught out late runners and made conditions quite slippery.

The expert route was won by Derek Carson 12 marks lost, on his well sorted James, closely followed by Ray Wheaver on his twin-shock special 13 marks lost.

The clubman route was won by Barrie Rodgers on his faithful Royal Enfield 3 marks lost, closely followed by Keith Chapman on his Tiger Cub 9 marks lost.

Best Greeves rider on the expert route was Jon Capon 89 marks lost, who came all the way from Cheltenham, with Dave McGregor just taking the clubman route on a Greeves on 29 marks lost.
